Optional website analytics

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic sources, visited pages and website use, and to improve our information and booking paths. Consent is the legal basis for analytics. Declining does not affect your ability to use the website or contact us.

Information processed

Analytics includes a random cookie identifier, page views, approximate country/region, browser and device information, traffic source, page language, engagement time and clicks towards booking, Airbnb, WhatsApp, email or telephone. Google processes your IP address when connecting; GA4 does not store individual IP addresses. We do not send names, contact details, messages or booking form contents to Analytics. A click indicates interest, not a confirmed booking.

Cookies and retention

Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_MN82629B7R to distinguish visits and sessions. We set their lifetime to a maximum of 180 days without automatically extending it on return visits. Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser as lakehouse-consent-v1 for 180 days to remember your decision. The website may also store your language preference as lakeHouseLanguage. Detailed user and event data in Analytics is retained for two months. Aggregated standard reports may remain available longer.

Changing or withdrawing consent

Open Cookie settings in the footer and select Decline to stop further analytics and remove this website’s Analytics cookies. You can accept again at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or automatically erase data already collected by Google. Contact us to request deletion.

Google and international transfers

Google Ireland Limited provides Analytics, with Google LLC and other subprocessors. Information may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Google identifies the EU–US Data Privacy Framework as the transfer basis for relevant US transfers and uses other safeguards where needed. We do not use Google Signals, ad personalisation or User-ID for this analytics.

Map and external services

The Google map is embedded directly on the website. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may use cookies under its own terms. The map does not enable Google Analytics; Analytics still requires your separate consent. Links to Airbnb, WhatsApp and other external services lead to their own websites and privacy terms. Fonts are served from our own website.

Enquiries and your rights

When using the email option, your enquiry is sent only when you send the email yourself. We use information you provide to answer your enquiry and manage a possible booking, to take steps before entering into or to perform a contract. Contact us for information about the data in your enquiry. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and, where applicable, portability or object to processing. You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority.

Direct form delivery

When direct sending is enabled, the booking form sends the details you enter to Web3Forms to deliver your enquiry to us. This includes your name, contact details, country, travel dates, party size and message. The form tells you whether it sends directly or opens your email app. Analytics consent is separate from sending an enquiry. See Web3Forms privacy information. A received request is not a confirmed booking.
